Parent Coaching

A proactive approach to helping your child accelerate speech and language development and more.

This 10-week program is for you.

I know what it’s like to be a new parent.

I have a toddler of my own. I know you have your hands full. And I know you want to do everything you can for your little one to be successful, but finding the resources and time is hard.

I know that not all the skills come naturally.

Nor are they talked about in all the books. I’ve worked with hundreds of parents that haven’t learned the recipes for speech and language development.

I’ve discovered the keys to helping children develop their skills. Maybe even faster than you might think possible. It takes a combination of an expert evaluation, a certain therapist personality, and commitment from the parent to carry the developmental play techniques home with them.

How Parent Coaching Works

  • Cassandra and her baby smiling for the camera.

    One-on-one sessions with me, Cassandra

I’ve been fortunate enough to learn tools and techniques that have proven to accelerate speech, language, and socialization development through my professional career and as a mom. I might call it my niche.

I’ve learned that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, so it’s hard to write a formula for it, and this skill doesn’t come naturally for most parents.

  • Mother and her toddler coloring together and laughing.

45-minutes per week at our clinic.

45 minutes has proven to be the optimal amount of time, but different children will use it in different ways, tailored to you and your child’s needs.

Some of the time will be spent modeling techniques and lessons, while the rest will be used to discuss with you what you’re trying, what you’re learning, and how to implement the techniques you’re learning in class, at home.

  • Father reading a book to his attentive baby.

10-weeks of classes to kick start speech and language development.

By the end of the 10-week program I expect your child to make dramatic improvements, and for you to feel confident in your ability to further promote language and communication skills at home with your new set of tools in your parenting tool kit.

1 year

One year old is the optimal age for a child to create the connections in the brain needed for speech and language development.

80%

A child’s brain is 80% developed at 2 years old.

5 - 20 - 100

Speech development accelerates very quickly between years one and two. It is expected that a 12-month old can produce 3-5 words, an 18-month old has 15-20 words, and a 24-month old has between 50-100. While falling behind doesn’t mean a child won’t catch up, there are methods to avoid it.

What parents are saying

Cassandra was recommended by several other twin moms in our local Twin mom club that are SLPs themselves. I can’t speak highly enough about our experience with Casa Speech. Cassandra is warm and engaging with the children and quickly established a good rapport and most importantly, we started seeing progress in our twins right away. I have and will continue to recommend Cassandra to anyone!

— Jennifer M.

I cannot say enough great things about CASA speech! Cassandra is an angel on earth, she is knowledgeable, energetic in the best way possible, engaging, and she gives parents the tools to help their littles at home. She goes above and beyond any chance she can. Highly recommend!

See if this program is for you.

My 10-week program is designed to accelerate speech skills and development for children between the ages of 6 months and 2 years old. A major factor in speeding up speech development is parent/caregiver participation, so we require that the child is accompanied by at least one parent or caregiver to every session.

I only accept 10 children at any time so that I can keep this program highly individualized, so capacity is limited. I do maintain a waitlist once full.

We know that developmental play doesn’t come naturally for all parents, so our goal is to teach you so you can teach your little one!

Fill out this form and I will call you to discuss more about the program so you can decide if it’s right for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does participating in this program mean something is wrong with me or my child?

No. Quite the opposite. This program is an opportunity for you and your child to participate in an important part of their growth together. Language is proven to be a very important factor in overall development and success, so investing your time early to help your child get ahead is well worth it.

Can you teach Spanish, too?

Yes! Bilingualism is far easier to pick up for 1 year olds than any other age. I’m doing this with my little one, too. I’m a native Spanish speaker and a speech therapist, but I’m not a Spanish teacher. I can teach you and your child how to develop bilingualism, but I don’t teach language arts, grammar, or reading.

Can I use my HSA to pay?

Yes - Casa Speech is HSA compliant. You can use your HSA or FSA funds to pay for as much of the program as you’d like.

How does scheduling work?

I’ll work with you to create a consistent schedule that works for you. Consistency is important, so we try to avoid starting when you know there are multiple weeks coming up that you’ll have to miss.
